Brotherly love...

Last evening David was playing with a new playstation game that my husband received from a fellow employee at work. David couldn't wait to play...it was a monster truck game!! While playing, Joey went over and sat down next to him and put his arm on David's back and started saying, "Uhh, Dadi", while rubbing! I thought it was so cute that I had to just snap a picture!Joey encouraging his brother while trying to win the race!!Some more love from Joey!

I think he gets it!!...

Today was an exciting day for me as a mom who is introducing letters and numbers to David. Sometimes I think he will never "get it", but today proved that something must be going on in that little head of his!! Today, he wrote his first letter..."D", I am starting with his name first. I was so excited!! And then he shocked me even further when he wrote the numbers "1" and "2". Today was an eventful day!! This morning my mother and I went to the store and as we came home, my dad came walking up to us and told us that David had an accident! He was riding down Aunt Jackie's driveway and as he came to the front of the garage doors on the barn, he ran right into the corner of the door. Well, to make a long story short (and a little less nausiating), we endend up at the doctor's this afternoon for 5 stitches and a lot of crying!!! Daddy showed up while we were there, which was a treat for me as I was in the corner crying, but I did get a hold of myself long enough to hold his hands and try to comfort him as best as I knew how! Aunt Jackie and Grandpa were there too (I needed a lot of moral support!) Dad and Jackie will probably sleep for a week after all they have been through today - I'm so glad they were there for me!! Here are some pictures of our little boy! My husband called him Rambo at the doctor's!! Professional landscapers - maybe??!!

This past Saturday, our family went over to the church to clean up the shrubs. David and I did most the work as our children rode their bikes. They were so good for us as we were there for over four hours!! Doesn't the front look nice?!

We didn't know it, but we must have been working in some poison ivy! David got it much worse than I did, but I thought we looked cute together with our calamine lotion on!!

Today we went to Darien Lake for a work picnic held by NVR. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time!! We played some games, ate some food, took plenty of pictures, had a drawing of Joey done, rode a few rides, and just loved being together as a family!! The best part was that we did most of that for free!! The traffic was backed up six miles from the park, so my husband let little David drive for a little while...shhhhhh, don't tell anybody!! Joey was in the back patiently waiting - well, most of the time!!Here we are about to enter the park!

We had David's "characiture" done when we came here back in 2004, so today we wanted to get Joey's done as well. "Mommy, 'lola'"...

Granola, or as Joey calls it - "lola", was his little treat after nap this afternoon. I guess I was getting camera happy, or maybe camera crazy, but I had to take these of him and his "lola"!!

This afternoon David had gotten his little piano out (actually it was mine when I was a little girl - a Christmas present from my parents) and he said something that I just had to record. He said to me, "Mommy, come here, I want to hear you something!" My face couldn't help but smile and chuckle a little too!!

Nana's night...

Every Thursday night of the world my mother-in-law comes to spend time with David and Joey. She says it's her time to have the kids all to herself, and the kid's love their time with Nana too! Mommy loves this time as well - I get to go and do errands, catch up on things, or go spend some time with a friend. But no matter what I find myself doing during this time, I always look forward to going home to my family!! Here is Nana with the boys eating pizza...yummy!! Little David and Daddy were watching the football game so intently - Nana told me I just had to capture this on camera!! All little David needs in his hand is a remote!!!Like father, like son!!!

Playdough!!...

This afternoon David asked if he could play with playdough. I said yes, and before you knew it, Joey decided to come out to the kitchen and see what was going on! I love it when the boys can use their imaginations and create things...even if I can't tell what those "things" are!! I was challenged by another friend's post to give them something simple and let them make something wonderful!! (Thanks, Amy) Here are two future artists at work...

"Chubby"...

Lately, Joey has been doing something he just gets a kick out of..."Chubby"! It goes like this...he holds my face and wants me to say the following:
"Hi, my name is Chubby. My mama's chubby, my dad's chubby, my dog's chubby.
One day, my mama' said, 'Chubby, how come you never smile?' I said, 'Mama'
this one's for you'" And then I smile!
You can only imagine what I must look like smiling with my face squished together, but he laughs at it every time!!!

Quiet is not always a good thing...

This morning as I was busy around the house, I noticed that Joey was being very quiet. So, I went to find him, and this is what I discovered him doing in the bathroom...

A couple of nights ago, Daddy was giving the boys a bath for me (he is so thoughtful)! Sooo, he decided to take some pictures of the boys...maybe for evidence that he really did help me that night!!!

Music College 2007...

What an amazing experience this was!! If I could sum up the whole college experience with one word, that word would be intimidating!! All the teachers were so very smart in the area of music, and I am so very dumb!!! I did learn a lot, though. I took mostly classes about singing better and posture and things that will help your voice and such. One class that I thoroughly enjoyed was "Panic Free Performing". How fitting for me, huh?! Overall, we had a fun time. Rebekah, Gabby and I will never forget the beautiful, five-star hotel that we stayed in...ha-ha!! I was thankful to spend some time with these young ladies...they have such a sweet spirit and are pretty funny too!! The time spent with my husband was very enjoyable, he is such a goof!! I would definitely love to attend next year as well!!
