Today is David's 4th birthday...what a big boy he is becoming! He keeps telling me though that he is not 4 years old because he has not had his party yet!! I keep trying to tell him that his birthday is a day not a party. Oh well! Hopefully he will "get it" someday soon! He also tried to convince me that he did not need to take a nap this afternoon because he is 4 now...needless to say, that didn't work! I made a chocolate cake with orange sprinkles (his favorite) for him to have on his birthday! Of course we will get to enjoy more cake on Saturday night...oh well, what are you going to do?!!

Mmmm!! That's good stuff!!

A casual dinner...
Tonight our family had a casual dinner outside...the boys sat on the porch and mommy and daddy sat on lawn chairs in the front yard. We were busy that afternoon doing things around the house and church so we just had a quick and simple dinner. The kids always enjoy eating outside...we won't be able to do that much longer. So, we will enjoy these nice days while we have them...

Here is Grandpa...I think he may be the next Bills quarterback!! He'd be a better one than what they have now!!
A trip to Home Depot...
Saturday morning, my mom, the boys and I went over to Home Depot to look at some carpenting for the house. While we were there the boys went to a kid's workshop that Home Depot was having that morning. The boys got to get official Home Depot aprons and Grandma and I helped them build some trucks(boy, that was a job!) They each had a doughnut and were able to see a firetruck, ambulance and police car. It was really a fun time. I wish I would have had my camera with me there. Oh well, isn't that always the way it is...you never have a camera when you want it! So, I made sure that I took pictures of them when we got home...
My little carpenter with his fire truck! ...and here is my other carpenter...

David showing his fire engine that he painted all by himself!
An early birthday present...
This past Friday night we all went to Walmart, and a few other stores, and we came out with David's birthday present. We wanted to give it to him early so that he could actually have some time to ride it before it became too cold!! He rode it all over the store and asked if he could ride it when he got home all the way home in the van! So, of course, we let him...
David couldn't even wait until Daddy got his bike out of the van...he was so excited to ride it!
He just loves his new bike!
And Joey got a new helmet! Now he doesn't have to wear Amy's old ladybug helmet that we had to practically smoosh onto his head!

Lagoner Farms...
Today David, Alex and I went to Lagoner Farms in Williamson for a little field trip with Alex's preschool. David was allowed to go as well. The boys had such a fun time. I want to go back with my hubby and boys. I know Joey would just love the tractor and wagon ride! The boys went apple picking...only 3 apples per child...orchard rules. Then they went into a corn maze (just for little people), and then it was off to the Cider Barrel Express. I must say the apples little David picked are just delicious...I'll have to go back and pick some for myself! It was a fun morning!
I think the sun was in their eyes in this picture!! Oh well!
Here we are riding on the wagon on our way to apple picking!
Here David is trying to pick his first apple. He just kept trying and trying...
...and trying...
...and finally there is success! He was so happy!
David with his second apple! This one was much easier to pick!
Alex and David with their apples.
"Look at that ladder, Mommy!" David saw a ladder that was being used by the apple pickers. It was very high in the air.
David and Alex in the Corn Maze. Eventually I had to help them find their way out!

Pumpkins...
This evening David, Grandma VP and I went to a little pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins. Joey stayed with Grandpa as it was kinda' cold out, so David said that he would pick Joey's out! He was so excited about the whole picking out your own pumpkin thing! Simple things...that is all he needs!
"Yahoo, I am so happy!" Those were David's words when we got to the pumpkin patch!
David found his pumpkin...finally!
Joey would not let go of his pumpkin; he carried it all around the yard!
Here's my two "punkin' boys" with their pumpkins!!

Pajama time!!
Well, I am not quite sure what was happening this night at home! I was gone to the store at the time and Daddy was in charge!! But from the looks of these pictures, I think they all had a good time together...
Something must have been pretty funny!!
Joey is such a "goofball"!
Does this look like a trouble-maker or what?!!
Daddy's Shoes...
As most of you know, Joey loves playing with shoes...whether it be boys' shoes or yes, even girls' shoes!!! He was being very quiet the other day, so I thought I should check and see what he was up to. I found him in our bedroom trying on his daddy's shoes. Looking at these pictures, I only hope that he will follow in his daddy's shoes...which, I think, are pretty good shoes to fill!!

Red Wings Game 2007...
This past Monday night a group of people, 95 or so, went to a Red Wings game in Rochester. We had such a fun time. The weather was beautiful and there is always yummy food at baseball games...oh, and the fellowship was fun too! We took lots of pictures and some video too. The highlight of the game was at the 7th inning stretch when our very own Cindy Detro sang "God Bless America". She did a wonderful job...you will see the pictures later on. Here are some pictures from the evening at the stadium...
David and Joey anxiously waiting to load the bus and head to the game!!
