Independence Day 2009...

This July 4th was spent with family at Genessee Country Village in Mumford, NY. It had been a few years since I had been there last...and with two less people in our little family too! This year our family went along with Steve, Jackie and the kids and my parents as well. Tim and Carrie were camping or I am sure they would've come along for the fun! I thought I would share some pictures of the day...

My husband loved seeing some of his old friends there!!

Another friend of David's...not quite sure what they are looking at?!!

Lunch time!!!...in the parking lot. Yeah, I know, we're too cheap to buy food at the restaurant!!

These next few pictures are of an old-fashioned parade through town.

This next picture is of an actual service that we attended where many immigrants gained their U.S. citizenship...it was awesome!

We saw these little lambs in the field. They were so friendly and one actually came right up to us! The kids loved it!

David and Amy taking part in a sac race. I won't tell you who was in last place, but her name starts with an "A" and ends with "y"!!

This man was playing a piano that he just had to crank by hand to make music. My charming husband asked him, "How long did it take you to learn how to play the piano?!!". I don't think the man responded...that happens alot with my husband's jokes!

Uncle Steve playing an old-fashioned game of bowling with the boys!
Joey enjoying this game all by himself!

Woo-hoo, Katie! Your blog is alive again! My kids were just looking through your last posts and wondering why you hadn't posted in forever, so I know they'll thoroughly enjoy these pictures. Looks like a great time!
